Looking to get involved?
Keep Charleston Beautiful?needs volunteer groups to cleanup litter around the City. We conduct cleanups along roadways,?at?parks, and?in marshes. ?KCB works with groups of any size and any age!? We are here to help support your community cleanup or beautification event.
How to organize a cleanup event:
1. Pick a cleanup date – Organize a day that works best with your groups, and send KCB an email notifying us. If available, we will do our best to attend your cleanup event
2. Pick a cleanup location – If you’ve noticed an area with litter, suggest it. If not, Keep Charleston Beautiful has suggestions of spots in need of a cleanup. Take a look at our?local litter hot spots if you’re at a loss.
3. Finalize volunteer numbers – Once we have an idea of how many people will be attending your cleanup, KCB will pack all your needed supplies (trash bags, disposable gloves, paper yard bags,?rakes,?safety vests, pruners,?pickup sticks, and other supplies as needed).?We will meet you at the location with these supplies, or you can pick them up from our office.
4. Make it an open event if you’d like – KCB can?help recruit volunteers for your events by posting it on?social media and in our newsletter. This is a great way to make an even bigger impact at your event.
